Idaho Technology’s Food Security System test kits are specially formulated for fast detection of Food borne pathogens using the R.A.P.I.D.® LT real-time PCR system. These innovative probe based PCR test kits provide faster results for improved safety, accuracy and bio-surety of your finished food product. Combined with our AOAC approved pooling protocols the system offers a low cost method for improved food security.

The Food Security System line of reagents are freeze-dried in a single sample, easy-to-use format. This minimizes user errors, saves time, reduces reagent waste, and minimizes cross contamination. Each test has internal chemistry controls to ensure reagent quality by incorporating an amplification control into every reaction.

Our test kits are produced under our US FDA quality assurance (cGMP) system and are validated independently through AOAC. Now you can provide the highest quality of testing for your products and protect yourself from any pathogen threat with our Food Security System test kits.

Pooling TechniqueValidated Pooling Technique

Idaho Technology’s validated pooling technique allows food producers to test more samples, enabling faster and better decisions at a lower cost.

Pooling is unique in that it relies on post-enrichment pooling as opposed to conventional pre-enrichment sample pooling, the key point being that the pooling approach maintains 100% sample integrity and traceability. A number of significant benefits that the pooling provides are:

  • Increased sample throughput i.e. up to 5 times
  • Substantial cost reduction i.e. > 60%
  • Significant labor savings i.e. > 60%
  • Original sample integrity maintained
